Everyone is having fun, including me!

Since the girls that were not getting along went home, things have been running pretty smoothly. I have the big guys on one side of the play yard and the little bits on my side.

Maki hasn't completely gotten over being the "little" dog in the pile when playing with Cai, but Diesel is completely unfazed by the size difference. He is just happy whenever a dog will keep playing with him.

I tried and tried to get the money shot of them leaping up at each other, but no luck.

I even got Pug to come out and play with Tiger. Pug had been acting like she was old and pitiful for the first 3 days. Now, I think she was just being wise and staying away from all the craziness over the weekend. She is practically a puppy again, playing with Tiger. Missed the pictures, of course.

Lacks Impusle Control

Diesel should come with that as a warning label. He was fine here a couple of weeks ago when he had a equally young, dumb and energetic dog, Terry, to play with. On one hand, they did look like they were killing each other. On the other hand, they did thoroughly wear each other out.

I don't always luck out and get a matched set like that. Diesel came again this week and I had no one for him to wrestle with; little dogs and old dogs.

Not only does Diesel not take 'NO!' for an answer to "Play with me!", he doesn't even realize that the other dogs don't want to play with him. When Pug, the pug, was threatening to take a chunk out of him, Diesel still thought it was great fun.

Well, at least, he has a good time - no matter what.

It's PUG DAY at the Ranch!

Yes, we are completely over run with pugs. I have been racking my brain trying to remember if I have any other 'pug' clients or are they all here this weekend. The only one I can come up with is Chug, the CHUG - CHichuahua, PUg mix.

Pug, the pug.

Odie

Though not a pug directly, Shadow has had two litters of Puggles. So she counts as part of the Pug family. Seeing how tiny she looks now only makes me realize how hugely pregnant she was when she was here last. I was a nervous wreck that weekend. To mangle a movie quote, "I don't know nothing about birthing no puppies!"

I am really impressed with how Shadow has gotten her girlish figure back. She has had 2 litters of 7 puggles each. I only had two kids and nothing went back to where it came from after that.

The pug tails have me completely amused.

I think this tells me that Pug is not all Pug.

This is Odie uncurling his tail. I didn't realize they could do that. It is pretty amazing to watch. I didn't think I would be able to get a picture of it, but it turns out that having someone take a picture of his tail, was enough to make him tuck it.

Speaking of tucked tails, Parker is making himself a nervous wreck. He is the biggest dog here and he is scared of everything. He had his tail tucked so far on the first day, I though he was giving himself a wedgie. I don't know why he is intimidated by all these little dogs, his brother is Odie, it is not like he never saw a pug before.
